Situational Training Exercise (STX) Seminar IV, Sep 26-27th

Prior Completion of Warrior Basic Course Required

Each of the two-day STX Seminars covers an offensive tactic, defensive tactic, and enabling tactic that is conducted at the squad and/or platoon level. There are a total of six distinct STX Seminars forming the core of the three-year Warrior Leader Program. Seminar IV:

  1. Offense: Counter Attack
  2. Defense: Withdrawl
  3. Enabling: Gaurd Operations

In addition to learning these three tactics, these exercises provide you with the opportunity to sharpen skills including individual fighting techniques, field craft, radio communication, land navigation, patrolling formations, hand and arm signals, and immediate action battle drills. The STX always involves engagements with live opponents in force-on-force training simulations using real blank firing AR15 firearms equipped with the MILES 2000/IWS system.

Field Training Exercise (FTX) Seminar IV, Sep 28-30th

Prior Completion of Warrior Basic Course Required

The three-day FTX Simulation is the culminating event of each semester. This is the opportunity for authentic application of all learning within the Warrior Leader Program! Seminar IV:

  1. Offense: Counter Attack
  2. Defense: Withdrawl
  3. Enabling: Gaurd Operations

The FTX Simulation is mentally challenging, physically exhausting, and absolutely exciting. The simulation runs non-stop for 48-hours over a three-day period. It is during this period that the warriors and warrior-leaders take over the training and assume command of their respective teams. This is wargaming at the highest fidelity of live force-on-force engagement in the time-honored tradition of kriegspiele.

All aspects of small unit tactics, warrior skills, and leadership competencies come into play. A robust AAR takes place immediately after the completion of the FTX Simulation. Additionally, feedback assessment is offered in the form of “murder boards” for all participants serving in a leadership position.

The FTX Simulation is a requirement for both the warrior and leader track within the Warrior Leader Program education.

As a safety requirement, FTX participants are required to stay overnight and leave Sunday, Oct 1st in the morning. The FTX is so fatiguing participants were passing out on the drive home.

Meals and lodging provided at the Combat and Maneuver Training Center (CMTC), just 14 miles east of Osage Beach, MO.

Gear and uniforms required.

ZOMBIE ATTACK GAME! Saturday, October 14th, 2017

Open Game – No Prerequisite

Sometimes we just have to get out to the woods to kill zombies. After all, One Shepherd promotes fun as the great elixir to learning. Participants create their own “clans” and must simply stay alive until the end of the game that night. However, the scenario will involve objectives that may very well help you survive as a living human. These are fully functioning Zombies, meaning they have MILES and shoot back, usually screaming “brains!” Anyone “killed” is then “respawned” back into the game as a Zombie. This is also true for Zombies when killed.

NOTE: Price includes the game fee, MILES simulation gear, AR15 + 5 magazines of blank ammo (140 rounds), and an MRE for dinner.

– Must show at 1 pm for Safety & Scenario Brief!
– Free camping Saturday night – big tents provided, or bring your own.
– In the State of Missouri, you must be over 21 years of age to drink. Also, it is the law in the State of Missouri that you cannot handle firearms while drinking alcoholic beverages. Alcohol may be consumed ONLY AFTER:

(a.) The game has ended.
(b.) The firearms are wiped clean.
(c.) The firearms are stored away for the night!
Location: Combat and Maneuver Training Center (CMTC), just 14 miles east of Osage Beach, MO.

Any uniform or civilian attire is allowed. Bring what you need to navigate, carry food, water, mags, and eye pro and survive in the woods against zombies!
